#BIOS UPDATE FOR GIGABYTE MOTHERBOARD HOW TO#
I would very appreciate any help or tips how to boot to the second BIOS. It seems like the last BIOS flashing got corrupt and I have no idea how to repair it. I have tried to eliminate other variable as well, disconnected GPU, confirmed RAM works in separate rig, removed down to 1 stick of ram. When I turn on the computer, it starts the first led (CPU), then switches to the second one (DRAM), then third one (VGA) and here (after 1-2 seconds) it starts over, again flashing the first led (CPU), etc. Removed cmos battery for about an hour, no luck, tried shorting pins 1 and 6 on the main bios chip, no luck.
I have tried holding down power and reset for 10 seconds to switch to secondary bios, no luck. He recently updated BIOS to version F6, (no clue why he did that in the first place) and he for some reason decided to turn the computer off when the system froze for about an hour during bios update.
